Abstract :
An adaptive data smoothing technique that uses a serial correlation test has been used to preprocess HV transient measurements before the application of the deconvolution routine to estimate the input signal. This technique has the advantage that no prior knowledge of the signal or noise characteristics is required. Successful applications to both simulated data with white-Gaussian noise and actual measured data with unknown noise characteristics are presented to demonstrate the accuracy of the technique
