Abstract :
This report describes the magnetic properties of resin-bonded magnets that have the composition R(Co.672Cu.08Fe.22Zr.028)8.35. This composition is able to possess high intrinsic coercive force(iHc) if Sm is adopted as R. In this report we describe the effects of partial substitution of Sm mainly by Nd in Sm(TM)8.35. The typical composition is Sm. 5Nd.4Ce.1(TM)8.35, where TM represents the composition of Co.672Cu.08Fe.22Zr.028. This newly developed magnet is studied compared with Sm(TM)8.35 and Sm.5Ce.5(TM)8.35 magnet. Although the newly developed magnet require longer aging time than other two magnets to obtain usable coercive force(about 10kOe), its magnetic properties are superior to those of Sm.5Ce.5(TM)8.35 magnet and comparable to those of Sm(TM)8.35 magnet. Its temperature characteristics and stability are also comparable to those of Sm(TM)8.35 magnet.
