Abstract :
AM sideband injection locking is demonstrated experimentally using 1.3¿m DFB lasers. The slave laser is injection-locked to a 3 GHz AM sideband of the master laser. By controlling the injection power, a very stable injection-locked state of the slave laser can be achieved. The phase noise and phase modulation characteristics are also discussed.
