Abstract :
The authors report field experimental results for six-channel multiplexed 16 level quadrature amplitude modulation/time division multiple access (16QAM/TDMA) systems for land mobile communication. Field experiments were conducted in the Tokyo metropolitan area of Japan. Its performance was evaluated at a 50% value of the bit error rate. The obtained performances are almost same as the theoretically expected values and the field experimental results of continuous mode 16QAM modems
