Abstract :
Uniform asymptotic expressions are derived for the Green\´s functions describing scattering of electric or magnetic type plane waves by a perfectly conducting cylinder tipped wedge (CTW). These expressions are found to agree analytically with heuristic expressions available using the geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD). Numerical comparison of these expressions with results obtained from eigenfunction expansions show good agreement for cylinder diameters > 1.5 \\lambda .
