Abstract :
A recently developed digital signal processing system for home VCR video circuitry is described. A video circuit for a VHS-format VCR has been digitized, and 12 new types of gate arrays have been developed. The video, color, and FM signal processing with the new circuitry is discussed. An experimental VCR has been constructed using them, and its recording/playback functions have been confirmed
