Abstract :
The sequences generated by the ternary line codes of PCM systems and digital networks are constrained in order to satisfy the modulation requirements of the channels on which these codes are used. We present the capacities, in bits/symbol, of such constrained sequences corresponding to the HDB3, B6ZS, 4B3T and MS43 codes.
