Abstract
The design and performance of a Ku-band cylindrical antenna are described. The antenna is designed to provide a
azimuth coverage with 20 dB sidelobes and an operating bandwidth of 1 GHz (16.0-17.0 GHz). The antenna consists of 16 facets of
dipole arrays. The
coverage is obtained with a switch matrix network. The antenna elements and the feeding switch matrix network are printed on a single printed circuit board.
