Software quality giving managers what they need

A Workshop on the 22nd March 1995 scrutinised processes used in procuring ´quality´ software. This article describes the purpose of the Workshop which was to examine the role of quality management in the context of rapid change in the business environment. In particular it was intended to: identify the strengths and shortcomings of current quality management systems; consider current trends in the development of quality in standards for quality management; explore new roles for quality management, especially in the management of repeated rapid change; and identify roles in improving software quality management.<>
