A 5GHz-spaced, eight-channel, guided-wave tunable multi/demultiplexer for optical frequency-division-multiplexing (FDM) transmission systems is demonstrated. It is constructed with high-silica channel waveguides and thin-film heaters loaded on the waveguides for frequency tuning
