Abstract
The EC directive has brought many more classes of equipment within the realms of EMC regulations. This article discusses the circuit techniques that can be used to reduce harmonic currents conducted into the mains and examines some of the difficulties that switch-mode power electronics presents in terms of high-frequency electromagnetic emissions.<>
