Abstract :
A digital filter structure and processing scheme is being presented, featuring a minimum hardware effort and efficient means of computing rotation rates in fiber-optic gyroscopes. Its advantages over current analog and digital detection methods are pointed out. The problem of aliasing and quantization in digital filters limiting system performance is addressed.
