Abstract
By coupling several strange attractors (i.e. unstable nonlinear loops, or nonlinear recursive finite difference equations), the hardware or software needed for generating variably coloured noise can be simplified. It is noteworthy that this noise tends to take on the ubiquitous excess low-frequency form, characteristic of nonlinear devices, as the number of attractors increases.
