  • Abstract
    A six-port reflectometer consisting of a symmetrical five-port waveguide junction and a directional coupler was analysed, constructed and tested. Theoretical and experimental results showed that the circuit yielded optimum q-point distributions over the waveguide bandwidth. Actual measurements taken using the prototype reflectometer indicated that accuracies of ±005 in magnitude and ±0.5° in phase were obtainable.
