Abstract :
Frame synchronisation sequences with the smallest possible correlation sidelobes are determined by exhaustive search for the case when the frame synchronisation word is preceded by specific bit synchronisation patterns. For a given length these new sequences have significantly lower sidelobes than the optimum autocorrelation sequences.
