Guest Editorial Special Section on the IEEE International Workshop on Measurements and Networking (M&N) 2013, Naples, Italy, October 7–8, 2013

The four articles in this special section were presented at the IEEE International Workshop on Measurements & Networking (M&N), that took place in Naples, Italy, on October 7-8, 2013. The main goal of this workshop was to provide a forum of discussion in the areas of modeling, measurements, communications, computer science, wireless systems, and sensor networks to researchers and practitioners from industry, academia, and government, and to stimulate new ideas about the role of both measurements for communication networks and communication networks for measurements.
