Abstract :
An estimate of the signal/noise ratio (SNR) degradation at the output of a data clock timing recovery circuit for multiplexed transmission using supersampling is presented. Both the effects of sampling clock jitter and data edge uncertainty are accounted for to determine the performance degradation as a function of the sampling frequency/data bit rate ratio D.
