  • Abstract
    Simple architectures for narrowband optical receivers are discussed. The proposed receivers are based on high-impedance photodiodes, lossless distributed matching circuits and matched impedance microwave amplifiers. The gain and noise properties of an experimental C-band receiver are reported.
