Abstract :
A CW light output power of 570 mW at 0.81¿m wavelength has been obtained on long-cavity, phase-locked laser arrays with five stripes. The median lifetime of the arrays for 100 mW CW operation was approximately 3000 h at 50°C, which corresponds to approximately 25 000 h at 25°C.
