Abstract :
Theoretical and experimental results obtained by Hartig for the end correction for a coaxial line when driving an antenna over a ground screen are corrected. Improved theoretical and experimental curves of the quantity -C_{T}/bc_{0} are obtained, where -C_{T} is the lumped negative capacitance required as end correction, c_{0} is the capacitance per unit length of the coaxial line, and b is the inner radius of the outer conductor of the line.
