Abstract :
DEPOT has been developed to provide tracking for the Stanford Linear Collider (SLC) control system equipment. For each piece of equipment entered in the database, a complete service, maintenance, modification, certification, location, and (optionally) radiation exposure history can be maintained. To facilitate data entry accuracy, efficiency, and consistency, barcoding technology has been used extensively. DEPOT has been found to be an important tool in improving the reliability of the microsystems controlling SLC. It is now being adopted by other systems at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center
