Abstract :
The interface between a low- and a high-permittivity dielectric medium is used which permits considerable reduction of losses in classical metallic waveguides and cavities and in microwave devices associated with them. Experimental confirmation of the theoretical results is demonstrated by using as an example a cylindrical circular cavity
