  • Abstract
    A novel photonic switching system that uses the spread spectrum technique is proposed. This system is simply constructed by a star coupler and optical phase modulators, and it can provide various flexible switching functions. 2×1 photonic switching is demonstrated using a 3 dB coupler and three optical phase modulators
