Abstract :
A coupled-PLLs network suitable for phased-array systems is presented. The proposed structure uses phase-frequency detectors, instead of analogue multipliers, to achieve up to plusmn180deg phase shift between output signals. This improvement makes it possible to extend the scanning angle from plusmn30deg off the normal achieved through current coupled-oscillators to plusmn90deg.
