  • Abstract
    The fundamental possibilities of adapting the design of capacitors to meet the special stresses encountered in series capacitors are reviewed. The design of the Allmÿnna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget units in the Swedish State Power Board´s series capacitor at Alfta and of a new 50,000-kva bank now under production is described Possibilites of future improvements are outlined.
