Abstract :
This article enumerates the major parameters that should be evaluated at the very beginning of a SCADA/EMS project to choose the most efficient GUI product. Though every customer´s needs are different, any GUI system still should have the following chief characteristics: open system approach; seamless interface features; ease of user operation; and acceptability by the operators.<>
