Abstract :
A new radiating oscillator module is presented in which the cavity consists of an FET source and a multilayer slot coupled patch antenna exhibiting either an oscillator or an antenna. Oscillation conditions and design criteria of the structure are studied. Prototype circuits showed 4.81 mW power output and 50 MHz tuning range at 4.893 GHz.
