Abstract :
The inherent relation between the multistage impedance transformer (MIT) of microwave engineering and the finite impulse response (FIR) digital filter of digital signal processing is determined for the first time. As a kind of FIR filter, window functions are used for MIT design. The design principle is discussed and design formulas given.
