Abstract
A plasma injector is introduced for the pretreatment of liquid fuel. The plasma injector enables the cracking and partial reforming of injected fuel, which can contribute to the reduction of emissions during the combustion process within the engine. It was observed that an evenly distributed wall-surface discharge can assist in the reforming reaction of fuel by producing hydrogen and light hydrocarbon species.
