Abstract :
The throughput of a slotted DS/SSMA scheme for use in optical fibre local area networks is analysed. The scheme employs CDMA embedded in a one-persistent channel sensing protocol with overload detection. Numerical results are presented as a function of offered load with end-to-end transmission delay and channel load threshold as parameters.
