Abstract
The game artificial intelligence (A.I.) technique has been neglected by this industry but it is recognized as an important part of the game within the framework of genesis. This paper is concerned with game A.I., and describes how a game system can be used for the auto balancing of game difficulty to control the level of difficulty in a game based on the skill of the player. A game involves factor of difficulty control (FDC) and factor of users´ adaptation (FUA). FDC is a factor that makes a game more difficult, and FUA is a factor that shows how well a player plays a game. We propose a dynamic difficulty controlling game system (DDCGS) using FDC and FUA to automatically control the game difficulty according to the skill of the player. Thus, DDCGS extends the game lifecycle and creates a more exciting game for the user by optimizing the player´s game experience .
