Abstract
Successive projection onto convex sets method is used to design a class of time-constrained finite impulse response (FIR) digital filters. This class includes Nyquist filters, partial-response FIR filters and Nth-band filter. This method is fast and very effective for filters with some time- and frequency-domain constraints, however the well-known Parks-McClellan filter design program is not suitable for designing these kinds of time-constrained FIR filters.<>
