Abstract :
Field trials of an optical scanner for measuring directional slopes of the sea surface have been carried out at the Research Pier of the Coastal Engineering Research Center (CERC). Preliminary results include upwind-downwind and crosswind components of the mean-square slopes under various wind, swell, and atmospheric stability conditions.
