Abstract
Transmission policy from the perspective of the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is discussed. A summary is given of the Transmission Task Force´s Report to the Commission entitled ´Electricity Transmission Realities, Theory and Policy Alternatives´. The background of FERC developments needed to understand the transmission model the Task Force has drawn up is covered.<>
