The 2008 IEEE Communications Society and Information Theory Society Joint Paper Award was jointly awarded to Aliazam Abbasfar, Dariush Divsalar, and Kung Yao for their paper "Accumulate-Repeat-Accumulate Codes," which appeared in the IEEE Transactions on Communications, vol. 55, no. 4, pp.692-702, April 2007.
