Abstract :
The radar absorbing properties of a Salisbury screen are investigated for a structure which is constructed using a high impedance ground plane. Simulated and experimental results in the frequency band 8-12 GHz show that this physical arrangement can be used to obtain a significant reduction in the physical thickness of the absorber when the specified -10 dB reflectivity bandwidth is in the range 18-37%.
