Abstract
An efficient timing modelling scheme for coupled inductance dominant resistance inductance capacitance (RLC) interconnects is presented. The transfer function in the Laplace domain is expanded in a series of rational, polynomial and exponential products, the time-domain responses of which can be computed analytically. The resulting time-domain response has fast convergence yet maintains high fidelity of non-monotonic characteristics of RLC transmission line circuits. By using an analytical decoupling technique, an efficient analytical timing model for coupled inductance dominant RLC interconnects is constructed.
