Abstract :
The radio planning of LF and MF systems requires the characterisation of ground conductivity, as it determines the ground wave attenuation with distance. The use of widely available remote sensing data in the estimation of ground conductivity has been researched. The results are similar to those obtained with conventional estimations based on terrain data.
