Abstract :
A voice activity detector for the microphone array system, using spatial information obtained by the eigen-decomposition of a multichannel correlation matrix, is introduced. Voice activity is detected by the likelihood ratio test under the assumption that phase vectors of speech absent and present signals have Gaussian distributions.
