  • Abstract
    A commercial control package from VISTA Control Systems based on VAX microcomputers and the VMS operating system is evaluated. Vsystem offers a graphical operator interface, an extensive software toolkit for configuration of the system, and a multifeature data-logging capability, all of which far surpass the functionality of the control system. A description is presented of the VISTA control system software. The test configuration is outlined and test experience with the Vsystem is discussed. Problems occurring during testing are noted
