Abstract :
An approach to calculate the blocking probability for the reverse link of a variable spreading gain-direct sequence/code division multiple access (VSG-DS/CDMA) cellular system supporting multi-rate services is presented. In the analytical derivation, four interference correction factors for calculating capacity must be evaluated. The results obtained are useful in optimising the VSG-DS/CDMA system capacity.
