Abstract :
IEEE CSM interviews Carolyn Beck, associate professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC)and associate head of the Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering (IESE) Department. Also interviewed is Cleve Moler, founder and chief scientist at the Mathworks and president of SIAM, the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, for 2007 and 2008.
