Abstract :
The purpose of this article is to increase awareness of several requirements specifications issues: (1) the role they play in the full system development life cycle, (2) the diversity of forms they assume, and (3) the problems we continue to face. The article concentrates on ways of expressing requirements rather than ways of generating them. A discussion of various classification criteria for existing requirements specification techniques follows a brief review of requirements specification contents and concerns.
