Abstract :
A mode matching method for determining the resonant frequencies of the whispering gallery modes in a double cylindrical disk dielectric resonator is presented. The method has an improved accuracy in the calculation of the transverse magnetic modes with high axial numbers in a single uniaxial-anisotropic disk resonator. In this paper, frequency tuning and detuning due to the interaction between various whispering gallery modes will also be discussed
