Abstract :
An analysis is made of the original configuration of the 300-kW superconducting homopolar machine (SHM) and a novel electromagnetic screen system for this machine is presented. Numerical computation is made of the magnetic field of the 300-kW SHM for a ship. The high-Tc superconducting magnetic screen is tested with a microtester. All data and the analysis for this magnetic screen system of the superconducting machine are discussed.
