Abstract :
A new packaging design is presented for an erbium-doped fiber laser, which is shown to greatly reduce the sensitivity of the laser frequency noise to environmental acceleration. The laser´s performance makes it suitable for applications in interferometric systems in field environments where the laser may be exposed to high vibration.
