A new high-speed electrostatic recording method has been developed that utilizes assemblies of transformers whose secondary windings are wound on the cores and connected to output terminals in arrangements based on (

) or fixed-weight error-correcting codes. This method is used to distribute electrostatic recording pulses to styli to form latent images on recording paper. With the present experimental device a recording speed of 480 kilodots per second, or 436 steps per second, was obtained.
