Abstract :
An acoustooptic (A/O) deflector has been introduced to act as a multifunctional fine actuator. A three-dimensional spot wobbling method with A/O deflector has been proposed, and the detection characteristics of focusing and tracking error signals have been confirmed. A high-speed optical disk control system, together with good access performance, has been achieved. Due to this achievement, small, simple, and high-performance optical disk systems should be available in the future
