Abstract
This paper describes various areas of the reliability management. Areas covered are the historical development, general management considerations, achieving the reliability program objectives and guidelines for the reliability program management, reliability and maintainability management tasks in the product life cycle, steps to improve reliability of engineering products, reliability and maintainability departments, reliability manpower, documents and tools for reliability management, reliability auditing and pitfalls in reliability program management.
