Abstract :
It is found that MnBiRe (Ce, Pr, and Nd) films have a large Kerr rotation angle and figures of merit higher than that of amorphous rare-earth and transition-metal films. The magnetooptical effect of the MnBi film is enhanced and its high-temperature phase is removed by doping with Ce and Pr. The MnBiRe films have good positive anisotropy and magnetic properties
